Family Therapy

Families are connected by blood, by marriage, by love, by choice, by chance… regardless of how we form our families, they can be one of the most influential and steadfast forces in our lives.

Our families can help us to thrive. We can feel witnessed, validated and supported by our loved ones. Our families can also judge us, harm us, reject us or impede our growth.

People may benefit from setting stronger boundaries with family. Others may benefit from deepening their connection; some people may even benefit from doing both.

I have specialized training and experience working with families through the lifecycle stage of late adolescence. It is a time of rapid and dramatic change, which can be daunting for even the most resilient families. I also enjoy working with elders and their adult children to communicate about and process issues of the past, needs and wants of the present and hopes for the future.

I look forward to the prospect of working with your family. Reach out if you are interested in speaking with me to see if we are a good fit for therapy or with any questions.
